Day 28: March 5, 2019

Today’s Progress: FCC – Build a Technical Documentation Page Pt.2

Thoughts: Finished the Technical Documentation Page Project.

Technically most of the work was done yesterday but I was too tired to make the blog post.

The information contained in the documentation and the overall structural idea was pulled from this example given by Free Code Camp.

I tried to avoid looking at the example code for hints but when it came to getting the scrollbar to work as well as making everything respond correctly to size changes? Had to peek.

Not as pretty as I wanted it to be. This is what the example looked like:

So obviously I got some stuff wrong. This will def be a project I come back to in the future.

Key Takeaways From Day Twenty-Eight:

  • The difference between an ID and a class is that an ID can be used to identify one element, whereas a class can be used to identify multiple.
  • Writing this post a bit after doing the code was difficult, mainly because I didn’t put in any comments. I need to get in the habit of commenting my code.
